Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated
Repair Technician
to join our
RMA (Return Material Authorization) repair team
. In this role, you will be responsible for the
diagnosis, repair, and final testing
of a wide variety of high-performance electronic instruments manufactured by our company.
You will work in a
low-volume / high-mix environment
, supporting a broad product portfolio that includes legacy systems and newly released devices.
This role plays a key part in maintaining
product quality, service turnaround times, and customer satisfaction
.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Diagnose and repair failed electronic hardware returned from customers
- Use appropriate test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, custom test fixtures) to verify product functionality
- Follow documented repair processes, work instructions, and test procedures
- Perform soldering, component replacement, and mechanical adjustments as needed
- Ensure traceability through accurate documentation in internal systems
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams when encountering systemic or unknown failures
- Maintain a clean and organized workbench (5S), following safety and ESD protocols
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process standardization
- Cross-train within other product families or repair units as needed
- Support KPIs related to turnaround time, first pass yield, and customer satisfaction

For this Role, You will Need:
- Vocational training or associate degree in electronics, mechatronics, or similar technical field
- At least 1–2 years of experience in electronic hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Ability to read circuit diagrams and interpret test results
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry, internal systems)
- Precision and attention to detail in repair and documentation tasks
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Experience with low-volume/high-mix service environments
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- IPC soldering certification or equivalent hands-on experience
- Basic knowledge of RF or mixed-signal instruments is a plus
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple products
