About BYD Auto Hungary

On 22 December 2023, BYD announced the construction of a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases. The new production base is planned to adopt globally advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to create a world-leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base.

BYD Auto Hungary is looking for a versatile and dynamic Mold Engineer to join our Auto manufacturing division.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and solve complex mold maintenance issues, optimizing surface product quality.
  
• Identify and address production problems (e.g., wrinkling, cracking, forming difficulties).
  
• Provide theoretical data and analysis for body-in-white and mold repair processes.
  
• Maintain daily mold maintenance records and build a comprehensive problem database.
  
• Lead cost reduction and efficiency improvement initiatives in mold preservation.
  
• Conduct skill training for personnel and participate in company-organized training and assessments.
  
• Participate in mold review and acceptance for new projects; travel required.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

• Proficiency in English as a working language.
  
• Technical secondary school or higher.
  
• 5+ years work experience in the field.
  
• Proficiency in Office, CAD/CAM, UE, CATIA, AutoForm, and other relevant software for surface product optimization; capable of analyzing quality improvements and preparing independent work reports.
  
• Knowledge of the structure, performance, and operational status of various moulds. Familiar with stamping die, stamping equipment, and stamping process requirements.
