WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF THE POSITION:  

As a Group CES Category Manager you will take part in building or reshaping processes / structures while working as a strategic partner to the supported business. You will also be responsible for developing category plans, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring that we achieve cost savings, quality, and supply continuity. Your strategic mindset and analytical skills will drive the success of our procurement initiatives.  

RESPONSIBILITES: 

• Leading cross-functional Category Working Groups.  

• Handling the development and implementation of category strategies for assigned categories.  

• Personal decision making on category level supplier awarding for contracting based on value limits.  

• Creation and maintenance of annual procurement plan; mid and long-term planning for a category group in alignment with business partners. Contributes to consolidated procurement planning across categories within DS division.   

• Monitor market developments, innovations and technology trends and for applying them to strategy and implementation work.  

• Contributing to sourcing process, participating in evaluation committees; supporting negotiations based on value limits and priority. ensuring performance, compliance, and continuous improvemen 

• Contributing to long lead items assessment, demand planning and execution, market analysis, supplier selection, claim management 

• Develop and implement category strategies that align with business goals and deliver cost savings, quality, and innovation. 

REQUIREMENTS:  

• 5+ years procurement experience and/or considerable experience in waste management

• Educated to a degree in Business or Technical or other relevant experience  

• Excellent knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies and supplier management preferred

• SCM background preferred 

• Relevant system experience, preferably SAP 

• Previous experience leading negotiations or part of a team advantageous 

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills must

• Ability to analyse Market trends and data 

• Project management experience advantageous but not required 

• A dedicated and engaged partner who strongly engages with both the business and the regional procurement organization to enhance collaboration and obtaining the local procurement objectives. 

• Open and willing to travel

• Fluent in Hungarian and English
