Back & Rosta Kft. is an innovative IT company primarily operating in the cultural sector. Our flagship product is the Magic Wall, a giant interactive video wall technology. We are currently market leaders in China and Hungary for interactive video wall technology in cultural venues. Our key partners include museums, exhibition spaces, conference centres, and zoos.

The company was founded in 2001 and has a branch office in the United States, China, and Austria. In addition to IT services, we are also involved in large-scale international exhibition exchange projects, leveraging our strong international ties with cultural institutions around the world.

Our new colleague will be responsible not only for the operation and maintenance of Magic Walls at our Hungarian clients but also across the European market.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct regular inspections of the company's IT equipment (servers, printers, websites, testing devices, telephones, etc.) to monitor both hardware and software status, and perform comprehensive inspections of the server room.

· Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues for both company and client devices, including fault diagnosis, component replacement, upgrades, and updates.

· Install, test, and configure project-related servers and associated hardware.

· Maintain the company's hardware and software quality assurance systems to ensure effective operation.

· Respond to customer service requests within 30 minutes, resolving software issues remotely and traveling on-site for hardware issues when necessary, ensuring high customer satisfaction.

· Support project site work, coordinating with on-site teams and following established workflows to ensure smooth project progress.

· Upload and process configuration files and data, ensuring accuracy and security. This includes creating Magic Wall configuration files using JSON format.

· Perform PHP version upgrades and maintain the company's PHP-based systems, including the Magic Wall CMS system.

· Manage and maintain MySQL databases for daily operations.

· Administer and maintain Linux-based servers (Ubuntu), using basic Linux commands for server management, CMS installation, and system updates.

· Maintain and troubleshoot the company's local office network, including configuration adjustments when needed.

· Provide maintenance for the company's NAS server (Synology) and resolve office IT issues such as macOS troubleshooting and setup for new employees.

· Install, configure, and maintain Magic Wall application software on Windows-based local servers.

· Install and maintain DID video walls on-site, including permanent setups and temporary exhibitions; diagnose and replace faulty screens at client sites.

· Provide training to end-users on both hardware and software usage.

· Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures.

· For Magic Wall rentals: install, supervise, and dismantle the Magic Wall system.

· Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, identifying and resolving bottlenecks or bugs.

· Document and log IT-related events in the company's internal systems.

· Provide general IT support for office desktop systems, networks, and client service tasks.

· Update and maintain the company's internal wiki with operational knowledge, hardware information, and Magic Wall scenario recordings.

Requirements:

· At least Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.

· Minimum of 2 years of IT experience, including desktop/laptop and network support; experience with touch frame or touch screen projects preferred.

· Experience with mainstream Intel and AMD hardware platforms; ability to install and configure desktops.

· Familiarity with DID video wall structure, installation, and maintenance.

· Familiarity with PHP-based systems and version upgrade procedures.

· Knowledge of MySQL for daily database operations and maintenance.

· Strong understanding of Linux server administration, particularly Ubuntu, and the ability to use Linux commands for CMS installation and maintenance.

· Experience maintaining and configuring NAS servers (Synology) and office network infrastructure.

· Ability to troubleshoot macOS systems and set up new employee computers.

· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.

· Ability to travel occasionally for project installations and maintenance work.

Preferred Skills & Competencies:

· Fluent Hungarian and high-level English proficiency (both written and spoken); knowledge of additional languages (German, French, Spanish, Chinese) is an advantage.

· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex tasks.

· Experience in an international work environment.

· Driver's license is an advantage but not mandatory.

· Knowledge of C#, C++, JavaScript, and PHP is a plus.

Work Conditions:

Will work from the company's Budapest office, one day home-office is possible per week

·      The company provides all necessary work equipment

·      Working hours: 40 hours per week, full-time, and be available on-call if necessary

·      Compensation: Competitive gross salary (500,000–950,000 HUF), consisting of a base salary and a performance-based component. Bonus depends on achieving set goals and the company's overall performance.
