The EIT RIS Startup Programmes Officer is part of the EIT RIS & EIT Community pan-European team with the responsibility for coordinating specific projects within the Impact Ventures activities in EIT Community actions. The EIT Community Programmes Officer reports to the Head of RIS & EIT Community and coordinates actions with the Impact Ventures Head of Startup Programmes and Services.

The primary focus will be to coordinate EIT RIS programmes dedicated to startups. This includes the following tasks:

EIT Regional Innovation Booster (RIB):

• Set up of the implementation committee of the Regional Innovation Booster (RIB) pilot in Hungary.
• Preparation and running of the EIT Community call for Hungarian scale-ups internationalisation.
• Organisation of workshops, selection of mentors and general programme support.
• Be the main point of contact for EIT Urban Mobility for RIB programmes in Poland, Croatia and Malta.

EIT Jumpstarter Programme:

• Manage the evaluation and selection processes for urban mobility participants.
• Coordinate legal agreements and ensure timely payments of micro-grants and prizes.
• Serve as the single point of contact for all UM cohort participants.
• Manage the selection, onboarding, legal agreements, and communications with external evaluators, coaches, and mentors as needed by the UM cohort.
• Collaborate with the Jumpstarter lead KIC for the organization of in-person training sessions.
• Lead promotion efforts within the UM cohort, using EIT UM channels and collaborating with other KICs, as well as our RIS and Communications team.

EIT Urban Mobility – RIS Representatives:

• Be the contact point between EIT Urban Mobility Impact Ventures and our network of RIS Representatives in 11 countries regarding local support to start-ups.
• Guide RIS Representatives on Performance Funding Targets (PFTs), including the implementation of a clear process for RIS Representatives to funnel scouted startups to EIT Urban Mobility startup support initiatives: startup support programmes and investments.
• Provide opportunities for startups from EIT Urban Mobility start-up programmes and investments to RIS representatives.
• Monitor and evaluate the success of KPIs and PFTs achievements related to a funnelling startups from RIS countries to EIT Urban Mobility initiatives, namely EIT Urban Mobility startup support programmes and investments.

What you will bring along the way:

An ideal candidate will strive to generate positive environmental and social impact in line with EIT Urban Mobility's mission.

Must-have:

• At least 3 years of professional experience coordinating
  startup support programmes
  , ideally in early-stage innovation or acceleration contexts ideally within innovation, entrepreneurship, or EU-funded environments.
• Good understanding of the EIT Regional Innovation Scheme (RIS), EU innovation ecosystem, and/or European startup landscape.
• Demonstrated experience managing evaluation, selection, and onboarding processes for startups or programme participants.
• Experience coordinating work with a multicountry network (e.g., RIS Representatives, hubs, or ecosystem partners).
• Experience collaborating with external experts (evaluators, coaches, mentors) and managing their contractual and operational workflows.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills, with a proven track record of delivery.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, able to adapt messages to different audiences and channels.
• Strategic mindset with an entrepreneurial attitude.
• Collaborative, proactive and solution-oriented approach with high emotional intelligence and ability to thrive in multicultural and cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken); proficiency in additional EU languages will be an asset.

Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of Horizon Europe, or other EU funding mechanisms.
• Familiarity with ERP, CRM systems and analytics tools.
• Experience moderating, facilitating, or representing organisations in high-level panels, events, or workshops.
• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
