Global Medical Operations Manager

The Regional Medical Manager is primarily responsible for building up and maintain the "global to local" connection and communication channels in the clinical and medical functions for the highlighted Richter Group geographical and structural regions (Western Europe, Eastern Europe, CIS and Russia, Asia Pacific, Latin America). This shall be done in close cooperation with Global Medical Division HQ medical and clinical units and regional representatives of the partner organizations (mainly commercial and regulatory). He/She is accountable for the delivery and break-down of a strategic, regionally, and globally aligned medical activity plan in line with the relevant budget proposals.

• Establish and maintain communication channels with the local medical representatives, gathering information and feedback and representing the regional issues at relevant meetings and in regional and HQ strategy making
• Coordinating the breakdown of the local level of the global medical strategy in each region, collaborating with global and local medical professionals, marketing, regulatory personnel, and country managers
• Ensure information sharing related to any clinical studies planned or conducted by affiliates
• Establish and maintain close cooperation between GMD scientific units with regional medical, local trade and regulatory organizations
• Assess and continuously monitor local medical competencies to increase efficiency and share resources between HQ and affiliates
• Overview on the medical cascading process of the global product claims with evidences, know-how of the therapeutic area, competitor environment and regional medical/marketing strategy
• Support activities related to international symposia affecting the given region, enhancement of the content elaboration and delivery
• Preparation of decision-making material and escalation to the head of the department on issues that cannot be resolved at the group level in the operational processes

Minimum experience

• Minimum 3 years pharmaceutical industry experience in the field of medical affairs or regional operations
• Awareness and understanding of medical affairs and clinical trials conduct and working across many functional areas
• Persuasive written and oral communication skills and evidence of impact at senior levels of the business
• Excellent networking, negotiation, strategic diplomacy, and inter-personal and inter-cultural skills
• A degree in Life Sciences or Natural Sciences (e.g., MD, PharmD, VetDr, M.Sc., etc.) is required

Language

Fluency in English and an appreciation of the difficulties and ambiguities in English language usage in the region. Spanish language knowledge is an advantage.
