Job Description

Albemale is hiring for a fixed-term Tax Accountant (until end of This position is hybrid in Budapest, with in-office days in our Budapest Office.

What You Will Do

  • Create VAT and other indirect tax returns under the supervision of a Tax Manager and eventually Tax Director
  • Take care of any accounting steps necessary (write-offs, corrections, netting, offset) during period-ends and beyond to ensure transparent tax balance
  • Initiate and oversee tax payments and monitor refunds, working lock step with Treasury and neighboring functions
  • Obtain and maintain ability to file tax returns under his/her own name with designated tax authorities, perform said filings under his/her own name, collect proofs
  • Act as a main-point-of-contact for entities assigned, serve as first line of defense in case of tax inquiries and audits
  • Take part in internal processes support other functions (including, but not limited to: approvals for new Customer creations, creating Purchase Requisitions, reviewing AP items and corrections thereof, proposal to change ONESOURCE as needed etc.)

What You Bring

Required:

  • Ongoing studies or BA degree of relevance is required in field of Accounting, Legal, Tax or Public Finances or degree in other relevant studies with at least 4 years of experience.
  • At least 2 years of work experience with indirect tax preparation, accounting, review and filing is required.
  • Ability to work in an ERP (Oracle or SAP) is required, including hands-on skills to run, check and correct VAT / Indirect Tax reports and filings

Preferred:

  • We prefer applicants with in-depth understanding in SAP tax operations
