AI Ethics SME

We are looking for an
AI Ethics SME
to join our DX Solutions business in a highly visible and accountable role, where you will drive the responsible design and implementation of our AI Ethics framework - embedding ethical principles, governance frameworks, AI technology, and regulatory compliance into AI initiatives.

In this role you will perform AI Ethics assessments for Third-Party and Internally developed AI tools, and advise cross-functional teams on ethical risks, fairness, transparency, accountability, and data integrity. You should have experience in shaping AI policies, review algorithms for bias, and ensuring alignment with international standards and societal values. You will be a champion a culture of ethical innovation to build trust, safeguard human rights, and optimize the positive impact of AI technologies.

With the boom in AI functionality in enterprise tools, we want to enhance our DX Team's capability to continue driving positive direction and decision making in Europe. You will join a small and friendly team, where your will have exposure to a wide range of Sony businesses, and where your input will have a measurable and lasting impact for internal departments and users alike.

You Will

• Develop and implement responsible AI frameworks, policies, and governance structures
• Conduct ethical assessments and risk evaluations for AI systems and models
• Ensure compliance with AI regulations (EU AI Act, GDPR, industry standards)
• Incorporate industry best practices frameworks (e.g. ISO 42001,NIST etc)
• Perform bias audits, fairness testing, and discrimination risk assessments
• Advise on the implementation of model explainability and interpretability solutions
• Create documentation and transparency reports for AI systems
• Collaborate with legal, InfoSec, Privacy and technical teams on AI governance
• Train teams on responsible AI practices and ethical considerations and create AI tool usage training materials
• Monitor emerging AI regulations, AI technologies and update policies accordingly

Essential
You will bring:

• Clear and credible experience in AI/Ethics/Risk related field(s).
• Experience of conducting AI Ethics assessments, and creating AI Ethics reports and recommendations.
• Understanding of AI governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC standards) and familiarity with industry-specific regulations (e.g. GDPR,EU AI Act).
• Knowledge of AI ethics, fairness metrics, and bias mitigation strategies
• Experience in risk assessment, policy development, and compliance analysis related to AI and data
• Understanding of ML model technologies, architecture, development lifecycle and deployment practices

Helpful

• Experience conducting algorithmic impact assessments
• Knowledge of Explainable AI or Privacy-Preserving techniques (differential privacy, federated learning)
• Certifications in AI ethics or governance
