Role Description:
We're looking for a full stack developer who's a creative thinker, takes joy in building soulful products and wants to make a positive impact on people's lives. If you're passionate about web development, eager to learn and grow, and excited to contribute to a growing company's founding team - Now You Know's tech team is the place for you.

As a Web developer at Now You Know you will be part of a dynamic, hands-on, small team that values clean code and modern development practices. You'll have the opportunity to work on exciting projects while learning from experienced developers and using state of the art technologies.

What You'll Do:

  • Contribute to various phases of the product development: develop, test, deploy, and maintain features.
  • Help develop a video consuming platform alongside senior team members.
  • Assist in building internal apps that will power our analytical applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn best practices and meet project milestones.
  • Participate in code reviews and continuously improve your development skills.

Who You Are:

  • 2+ years of professional experience in web development (or strong portfolio of personal projects for junior candidates).
  • Experience working on web applications, either professionally or through substantial personal projects.
  • Basic understanding of cloud-based deployment (AWS or other platforms) is a plus.
  • Proficient in Node.JS
  • Eager to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for tackling new challenges.
  • Team player who actively seeks feedback and collaborates well with others.
  • The main changes focus on reducing experience requirements, emphasizing learning opportunities, adjusting technical expectations to "proficient in at least one" rather than "prolific in all," and shifting the tone from "expert/proven experience" to "eager to learn and grow."
