We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join our team in Budapest, Hungary. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of our financial operations, maintain full-cycle accounting, and support strategic financial planning across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain full-cycle accounting, including payroll, tax compliance, and general accounting activities
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures within set deadlines
  • Prepare financial statements, annual reports, and management reports
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and collaborate with auditors
  • Monitor and record financial transactions in accordance with internal policies and local regulations
  • Develop and execute budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
  • Conduct regular cash flow planning and oversee cash flow management
  • Analyze financial data, discrepancies, and performance results, offering effective solutions
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives and continuous improvement projects
  • Support internal collaboration across departments and communicate effectively with management and global teams

Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • CPA certification required
  • Knowledge of local accounting standards; IFRS familiarity is an advantage
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to present financial information clearly
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Proactive, self-driven, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluent written and spoken English
