ABOUT THE JOB

Ceva-Phylaxia seeks applicants for the full-time position of Data Scientist in the Operational, Digital and AI Team within the Manufacturing Directorate of Ceva's Phylaxia Campus in Budapest's 10th district. This is a hybrid role with in-office requirements of 10 days per month.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Operational, Digital and AI team drives data-driven transformation across the manufacturing organization by developing advanced analytics and AI solutions that support innovation, efficiency and continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Reporting to the Global Industrial Data Science and AI Manager, you will play a key role in designing and delivering AI and data science solutions to support our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure your work is aligned with business needs and delivers measurable value.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Design and implement data science and AI solutions using machine learning, statistical modelling, and large language models.
• Analyse and interpret complex manufacturing data to provide actionable business insights.
• Visualize and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Contribute to the development and application of best practices in coding, version control (Git), agile project tracking (Jira), and cloud deployment (Microsoft Azure).
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders across departments to integrate data solutions effectively.
• Actively contribute to building a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the data team.

Your
profile :

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Master's degree or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data science, analytics, or similar roles, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal; Hungarian language skills are a plus.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, strong understanding of machine learning, statistical modelling, and data visualization tools; experience with Git, Jira, and Azure is an advantage.
• Soft skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills; business-oriented mindset; curiosity and passion for data and innovation.
