We are looking for a
Commercial Director
for our client, who is a dynamic player in electronic waste processing and secondary raw material production (including electric motors, cables, etc.), operating in a high-growth sector.

In the coming period, they plan strategic, high-impact developments in their commercial functions. They are seeking a professional, strategic Commercial Director to lead and shape this transformation in Hungary and in CEE. The ideal candidate is a nonferrous metal trader with industrial or raw-material trade experience, and a
proven ability to build and manage international
supplier and customer networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the end-to-end structure of the commercial function: KPIs and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and execute a commercial and procurement strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Build and manage international relationships: suppliers, partners, customers, and representation as needed.
  • Lead and continuously improve commercial and procurement processes (pricing, tender management, procurement optimization, inventory management).
  • Optimize costs and gross margins for long-term profitability.
  • Risk management: identify and mitigate market and supplier risks.
  • Leadership: team building, recruitment, development, motivation, and performance evaluation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a commercial and/or procurement leadership role, ideally in industrial or raw-material sectors, with preference for nonferrous metals trading experience.
  • Strategic thinking, systems-thinking approach, and strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities with international partners, suppliers, and customers.
  • Extensive international network and experience operating in international markets.
  • Higher education degree; advantageous fields include Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or Industrial disciplines; language skills:
  • fluent in English; AND native or proficient in Hungarian
