Head of Medical Affairs

Medical Strategy Development and Implementation:
● Contribute to the formulation and execution of medical vision and strategy
within the designated therapeutic area.
● Oversee the implementation of all medical affairs activities, designing and
implementing educational initiatives for healthcare professionals in
collaboration with internal and external partners.
Team Management & Execution:
● Lead and manage a team of ESEMs and MAMs, ensuring the development
and execution of the Medical Affairs Plan aligned with organizational goals.
● Support team members in their involvement in trials and maintain close
working relationships with commercial colleagues.
● Provide coaching and feedback to enhance individual skills and performance,
conducting regular
Internal Collaboration:
● Ensure the implementation of medical activities aligns with Financial
Planning targets and allocate resources efficiently within therapeutic areas.
● Maintain expertise within the team to meet the needs of external and internal
stakeholders, supporting team members in contributing to core medical
strategies.
External Collaboration:
● Develop scientific alignment plans for KOLs and foster partnerships with
Scientific Societies, Patient Organizations, and external healthcare in related
therapeutic areas.
● Organize educational activities for healthcare professionals and facilitate
interactions with top LS during face-to-face meetings and medical education
events.
Requirements:
● Strong motivation to grow within the organization and to act as an "agent of
change"
● Ability to thrive in a multinational environment and cross-divisional setup.
● Proficiency in planning and executing medical affairs strategy across the
organization.
● Medical Doctor, Pharmaceutical, or Natural Science university degree.
● Minimum 3 years of experience in a people management within the Pharmaceutical
Industry.
● Strong analytical skills.
● Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in both the local language
and English.
● Proficiency in project management.
● Exceptional presentation and influencing abilities.
● Demonstrated innovation-seeking behavior.
● Proactive personality capable of engaging Leading Specialists (LSs) in peer-to-peer
interactions.
● Ability and passion to analyze and interpret scientific data and publications.
● High ethical standards in business conduct.
● Strong customer focus and service orientation.
● Proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
● Location and Mobility: Position involves 80% local office-based work and 20% travel.
