We're expanding in Europe MINTH Group, a leading global automotive supplier, is establishing a
new trading company in Budapest
to serve Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. We're looking for a
Tax & Finance Manager
to set up and lead our finance operations from day one.

6+ years' tax experience
, strong knowledge of EU regulations, and a passion for building something from the ground up – this is your opportunity

Position:
Tax & Finance Manager – EU Operations (Hungary)


Location:
Budapest, Hungary (within 10 km of Váci út 31, 1134 Budapest)


Team Size:
2 local staff (Finance + Logistics) plus cross-border collaboration with Serbia & BU/factory teams


Reports to:
Group Finance Leader in China and Serbia

What You'll Do

  • Lead all tax matters for Hungary, Czech Republic, and Slovakia – VAT, CIT, customs, and compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, banking, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Hungarian and IFRS standards.
  • Support inventory control and periodic stock-taking from a financial and tax perspective, ensuring alignment with accounting treatments, tax filing, transfer pricing, and audit requirements.
  • Provide tax planning and risk management advice to leadership.
  • Build and mentor a small but high-impact local finance team.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree
    or above in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
  • 6+ years
    of tax-related work experience in multinational/trading environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of
    Hungarian & EU tax regulations
    (Czech/Slovak experience a plus).
  • Proficient in
    English & Hungarian
    (other languages a plus).
  • Experience with ERP systems and online banking.
  • Independent, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a start-up setting.
  • Willing to travel in EU, will have 1-2 month on boarding training in Serbia
