Position Summary:

This is a global role working across our Shared Services Centres in Hungary, Scotland and Costa Rica. The successful candidate should be confident working in a fast paced, customer-centric environment with good communication skills and judgement. This role will work closely with internal customers and colleagues to deliver tools, metrics and dashboards. The objective is to help the Operations teams drive data analytics around performance management.

For this, we are looking for someone with reporting and analysis experience, as well as basic understanding of finance/accounting.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle the end-to-end reporting activities and planning for the AR department
  • Provide analysis using available data to empower and assist customers in making decisions
  • Work with multiple sources to map data and build new reports using SQL queries and other tools
  • Analyse data to identify and diagnose issues early, to bring the right people together to propose and implement a solution
  • Assist in the design, implementation and development of analytics solutions
  • Meet with business partners to understand and clarify their reporting requirements
  • Create and write documentation, communicate business and technical requirements for the implementation of BI solutions
  • Perform quality checks from business requirements to user acceptance testing
  • Collect baseline data on important metrics and identify any gaps for new migrations
  • Support reporting and process improvement initiatives and work together with key partners to:
    • Understand business requirements and specifications
    • Analyse current process, including process mapping
    • Identify reporting improvement/automation opportunities
    • Design solution together with the business, IT and other key collaborators
    • Facilitate design and planning
    • Quantify impacts and manage commitments for reporting projects
    • Measure success and collect feedback of implemented solutions
  • Ability to work flexibly on occasion, when dealing with US contacts or at month/quarter end

Key Skills, Qualifications or Experience:

  • At least 2 yearsâ experience within either reporting, data analysis, finance, accounting, AP or AR, a finance supporting function, either building reports or in customer care
  • Strong reporting experience or skills
  • Ability to gather and document customer requirements â from our internal customers
  • Experience working in the financial sector and a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook) with strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a high attention to detail
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools like SQL, ETL concept
  • Solid grasp with Power BI and Power Apps
  • Ability to extract and analyse data using SQL to build reports
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently, working in a dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well in a diverse work environment and with various levels of management
  • Willingness to learn new concepts, and work with new tools and systems
  • Experience with various ERPs or financial software (Oracle, SAP, Navision) is desirable
  • Project management skills would be advantageous
