Your responsibilities

Lead a team of (Senior) Accountants in order to deliver Accounting services to all customers (10-15 FTE)Manage ongoing operations of the team. Plan and monitor the capacity and workload of the team, hire additional team members according to anticipated workloadCoordination and controlling of the knowledge transfer and ensuring seamless post go-live stabilization of finance processes in scopeLead by example a cross-functional collaboration, create a motivating working atmosphere and actively drive the change managementCoach and motivate team membersParticipate and lead projects assigned to the role (incl. Process optimization)Be involved in day-to-day operations and participate in the periodical closing processesMonitor the compliance with DTPs (detailed process documentation) created by the General Ledger Team during the knowledge transfer phase of transitions.Oversee the daily transactions and monitor the daily performance of the accounting departmentApprove journal entries by auditing the transactionsManage monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statementsManage year-end closingsOversee the resolution of bank issues including fee anomalies, differencesReview and approve account/bank reconciliationsOversee the processing asset transactions, depreciation by auditing their compliance with policiesComply with local GAAP and IFRS Accounting standardsReview and approve the Balance Sheet account reconciliations on a regular basisManage Asset Accounting related activities:Ensure asset master data maintenance, setting up of asset classesManage acquisitions, disposals, revaluation, depreciationControl AA closing activitiesSupport the Accounting Manager to monitor the team's performance against deliverables set in the Service Levels AgreementsWork together with the Senior Finance Manager in establishing department KPIsEngage in collaboration with the business and stakeholders to develop a professional relationship

Your profile

University degree or equivalent experience, preferable in accounting or businessVery good verbal and written German and English is a mustExperience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas is requiredExperience in leading, coaching and mentoring people is requiredSolid ERP (SAP) accounting experience is required, knowledge of Navision is an advantageConsolidation tool (e.g. HFM) experience is requiredExperience in building organization is an advantageComplete familiarity with Microsoft Office or equivalent toolsExperience in process automation and optimizationEntrepreneurial & Self-starting attitude with the ability to work independentlyStrong team-player who can build and motivate a process teamAbility to pay close attention to detail and prioritize the right things at the right timeExcellent communication skillsStrong continuous improvement & quality mindsetExcellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
