We are seeking an experienced Operations Geologist to join our team at Subsurface MOL Hungary. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geological operations and a proven track record of delivering wells and well workovers from planning to execution.
About the Job- Contribute to geological assessment and analysis to support project planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling and reservoir engineers to develop well plans and optimize drilling operations.
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of well site geological operations to ensure well objectives are safely fulfilled.
- Provide technical support and expertise to operational teams to ensure efficient execution of G&G programs and adherence to HSE protocol.
- Monitor drilling operations in real time to provide geological guidance and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Provide QC on daily and periodical documentation, supervise final well report & assist in peer reviews.
- Perform complex pore pressure prediction based on off-set well data and manage and supervise on-site pore pressure prediction.
- Contribute to the contractor evaluation process and ensure the implementation of lessons learned.
- Mentor graduates and young colleagues.
- Monitor industry development, technology advancements and best practices in operations geology and workovers.
- Continuously monitor the implementation plan's financial history comparing plan to fact.
- Master's degree in petroleum geology, geology, geoscience, petroleum engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an operations geologist or more than 5 years of experience as a wellsites geologist or expert in related service companies.
- Strong organizational, coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain and organize accurate records of information and critical thinking.
- Fluent in Hungarian and English, both written and verbal.
