Arval is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recruits and hires qualified candidates without regards to religion, gender identity, age, national origin, race, sexual orientation, disability., The Procurement Manager is reporting directly to the General Manager of Arval Hungary and functionally to Regional Procurement Manager,  responsible for ensuring the expense categories or segments suppliers he / she manages are reliable, deliver on time and at the best commercial conditions, with the highest quality of goods and services needed by his / her Entity, in compliance with the Arval group rules of conduct concerning relationships with suppliers.
He/She drives the realization of savings within the Entity’s budget / action plan by working closely with the users that he / she supports.
To achieve these goals, the Procurement Manager will :
  • Create value by costs optimization: meet the requirements of businesses relating to all external spending (including new vehicles), based on the best cost-delivery-quality ratio, in order to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage for Arval respecting the BNPP compliance and ethical rules.
  • Align the Business processes, tools, controls & KPIs, covering all activities initiated by procurement, with the Arval Norms.
  • Implement in his/her Entity the Arval Group’s procurement strategy on the different supported segments,
  • Define and apply Procurement strategy and action plan on local spend categories or segments,
  • Drive the supplier’s selection process on local spend categories or the different segments
    • Challenge the local needs
    • Identify a supplier panel complying with the Arval risk policy
    • Launch tenders
    • Select suppliers through criteria defined before tender launching.
    • Negotiate prices, discount, bonuses, payment terms, contents.
    • Prepare contracts and SLA under legal and compliance rules and validation.
  • Manage all the tender processes from the business needs definition to the signature of contracts with the best cost-quality ratio from secured and compliant suppliers.
  • Monitor the local supplier performance including the contracts deployment, the savings realisation (including rebates), and reports to Procurement Corporate
  • Manage the supplier relationship in cooperation with the stakeholders with a focus on steering to preferred partners
  • Ensure that savings realization is achieved through the negotiated global or local contracts implementation and that the internal customers are kept satisfied in terms of cost, quality, lead-times and service level of suppliers.
  • Monitor and mitigate the suppliers’ risk on his / her suppliers portfolio,
  • Implement Group Procurement Norms and compliance, contribute to internal process changes or improvements
  • Contribute to cross category sourcing initiatives and global process and tools Take part in the company budget and pricing elaboration (costs of services, new cars rebates).
  • Apply the CSR (“Corporate Social Responsibility”) strategy and objectives of BNP Paribas Group
  • Compliance: Apply the company  procedures and the associated control plan
  • Interface with internal and external functions

  • Operational experience in Procurement
  • Advanced training in Procurement / technical experience in the category is appreciated  
  • Languages: Fluent Local language, Fluent English (written and spoken), French is appreciated
  • Suppliers Market knowledge,
  • Capacity to challenge the internal client needs, sense of critical analysis,
  • Negotiation skills,
  • Capacity for defining a procurement strategy (procurement methods and tools),
