About the Role

Cognizant Technology Solutions Hungary Kft. is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our growing legal team in the EMEA region. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the review and mark-up of customer contracts and other client-facing documents for transactions across various jurisdictions and industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and draft contracts in English and one additional language (German, French, or Spanish)
  • Collaborate with local counsel on issues of local law
  • Support the review of services and outsourcing agreements, statements of work, subcontractor agreements, and other contracts under various applicable laws
  • Work closely with internal business teams and stakeholders on contract reviews and risk assessments
  • Gain an understanding of Cognizant's business and identify legal and commercial issues and transactions
Requirements
  • Civil law trained and qualified lawyer with a minimum of five years' practice in contract negotiation and management
  • Experience in commercial contracting and ability to balance legal risks with commercial and operational needs of the business
  • Ability to assess legal risks in the context of the deal and the wider business, and balance these with commercial needs
  • Confident and impactful communication with people at all levels and backgrounds
  • Knowledge of contract law and practice from a civil law perspective
