About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Geologist to join our Global Direct Hydrocarbon Indicator (DHI) Team in the Group Level Exploration department at MOL Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the Global DHI team's work, providing expert opinion on related internal projects or new venture and business development opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Seismic Team to achieve better results through seismic quality checks.
  • Responsible for data integration and geo-modelling using 2D/3D seismic, wireline logs, lithostratigraphy to reconstruct depositional environments and characteristics of source, reservoir, and seal rocks.
  • Perform detailed geological interpretation to identify new play concepts and generate new exploration prospects.
  • Contribute to volumetric assessment and prospect risking, coordinate with the Op Co Exploration Teams, and prepare recommendations of prospects in coordination with the Op Co Exploration Teams.
  • Contribute to the preparation of drilling proposals and plans for drilling programs.
  • Follow and evaluate drilling results.
  • Contribute to post-well analyses.
  • Support exploration PM in operational decision-making during well operations by integrating drilling and well test data into related geo-models.
  • Contribute to reserve and resource calculation of new discoveries.
  • Perform geotechnical evaluations of new business development areas.
  • Carry out tasks on special request of the DHI Team Lead and/or Head of Global DHI and Shared Seismic Services team related to Group Level Exploration processes and workflows.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Geology.
  • Professional experience in hydrocarbon geology, seismic interpretation, and basin analysis.
  • Good knowledge of hydrocarbon geology, seismic interpretation, and basin analysis.
  • Compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, result-oriented, and development incentive.
