Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Engineer to join our team at MOL Magyar Olaj- és Gázipari Nyilvánosan Működő Részvénytársaság. As a Laboratory Engineer, you will be responsible for managing laboratory operations, developing and validating test methods, and ensuring the safe and HSE-compliant operation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Laboratory Operations: Prioritize and schedule resources, compile analyses and reports, and verify results.
  • Develop and Validate Test Methods: Conduct physical and chemical sample analyses per standard procedures.
  • Ensure Safe and HSE-Compliant Operation: Verify that staff follows industry standards and regulations.
  • Train and Mentor Lab Staff: Train lab technicians on equipment use and instruct lab staff on best practices.
  • Investigate Customer Complaints: Engage with customers to resolve issues and improve service levels.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Chemical engineering, chemistry or equivalent, analytical chemistry specialization is an asset.
  • Experience: Min 2+ years of experience in laboratory environment.
  • Language Skills: Advanced English and Hungarian language knowledge.
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office user level skills.
