Your skills and qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in application support or software development.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE frameworks, and MySQL.
  • Experience with application servers (e.g., Tomcat, Apache) and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, XML/JSON, and web technologies.
  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
  • Good understanding of ITIL processes and incident management.

it would be nice if you have:

  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack).

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Focus on backend application support, maintenance, and debugging, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Contribute to feature or software development tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement and maintain backend functionalities
  • Ensure system reliability and troubleshoot issues efficiently
  • Analyze and resolve application issues escalated from Level 1 support.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement temporary or permanent fixes.
  • Document resolutions and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Monitor application performance and logs using tools and custom scripts.
  • Perform regular health checks and maintenance tasks to ensure system reliability.
  • Debug Java/J2EE-based applications and identify backend issues.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to investigate and resolve data-related problems.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams for server, database, or network-related issues.
  • Assist in application deployments, patching, and post-release validations.

About your contract:

  • Full time, indefinite.
  • Working hours: 40 hours/week, office hours (hybrid).
  • Legal requirements: You need to be to be currently eligible to work in Hungary.
