Software Developer with Python

Join Our Client's Global DevOps Team as a
Software Developer.
You will be a part of a dynamic and collaborative DevOps team working on a suite of internal products that support a global user base. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from Budapest and Tokyo on innovative platforms, including cloud-based Q&A systems, on-premises wikis, hybrid cloud/on-prem wiki solutions, and internal tools. The team takes full ownership of the product lifecycle, from development to support, in a highly impactful, cross-regional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, enhance, and support key internal applications and tools.
• Translate high-level business requirements into functional and technical specifications for complex projects.
• Take on DevOps responsibilities, including deployment, automation, and continuous integration for assigned products.
• Collaborate with multiple squads and teams to contribute to diverse tasks, such as scripting, front-end development, and user testing.
• Support users by identifying the root causes of issues, resolving queries, and providing technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation and contribute to team-wide knowledge sharing for ongoing improvements.

Requirements:

• 3+ of experience in software development, particularly:
• Content and Knowledge Management Systems.
• Application development using Python (experience with Flask or Django is a plus).
• RESTful Web Services and API development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working in agile environments.
• Solid understanding of service-oriented architecture, object-oriented design, design patterns, and Git version control.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevOps best practices, including automation and scripting.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a global team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Familiarity with LDAP, Active Directory, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, as well as analytics tools like Power BI or Splunk.
• Familiarity with both Unix and Windows platforms.
• Financial services industry experience is a plus but not required.
