Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented senior leader to head the IT Hardware Procurement function within our global IT procurement and vendor management organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and robust supplier management across all IT Hardware categories for IT and R&D environments. The successful candidate will lead a team responsible for end-to-end hardware sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, risk mitigation, continuous improvement initiatives and much more.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and inspire the IT Hardware procurement team, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.
  • Own and evolve the IT Hardware procurement strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Drive competitive bidding processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), supplier selection, and contract negotiations to secure optimal value and quality and risk mitigation.
  • Drive total cost of ownership (TCO) optimization, cost avoidance and lifecycle value initiatives.
  • Manage supplier relationships and business reviews to ensure performance and innovation.
  • Develop and maintain procurement performance dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks specific to IT Hardware spend and supplier performance.
  • Champion automation and digitalization initiatives within IT Hardware procurement processes and tools.
  • Ensure accurate and timely spend analysis, forecasting, budgeting, savings, and cost avoidance tracking for IT Hardware procurement.
  • Collaborate closely with IT, R&D, Finance, and Business Units to align IT Hardware procurement activities with enterprise goals.
  • Define, implement, and monitor compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and sustainability standards.
  • Support strategic sourcing initiatives with market intelligence, data insights, and operational excellence.
  • Lead continuous improvement programs to enhance procurement efficiency, supplier innovation, and total cost of ownership.
  • Represent the company in key supplier engagements and industry forums.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of mandatory progressive experience specifically in IT hardware procurement in technology industry.
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex procurement organizations and driving enterprise-level transformation.
  • Deep expertise in supplier management, contract negotiation, and risk management for IT Hardware categories.
  • 4+ years of Sr. Manager/Director corporate level leadership and team management experience, with a proven track record developing talent and deliver measurable results.
  • Advanced knowledge of procurement analytics, experienced user of MS Access Database, Excel, Power Bi to do more in depth analysis, spend visibility tools, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Superior understanding of financial controlling, budgeting, and forecasting in a procurement context.
  • Understanding of OPEX vs CAPEX, leasing vs buying and as-a-service models.
  • Familiarity with IT lifecycle services, sustainability, and circular economy practices.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Master's degree in Business, Legal, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience with key hardware vendors (e.g. Dell, Lenovo, HP Inc., HPE, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and understanding of their commercial models,  licensing, and KPI monitoring.
