About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and commercially minded Data Analyst to join our analytics team in Budapest. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry who enjoys turning complex data into clear insights that drive real business decisions.

You'll play a key role in analysing sales, marketing, and supply chain data, helping the business understand performance trends, consumer behaviour, and opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract, clean, and manipulate large datasets using SQL and Python.
  • Develop clear and engaging data visualisations and dashboards (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with marketing, commercial, and supply chain teams to identify data-driven opportunities for optimisation.
  • Analyse sales performance, pricing, and promotional effectiveness within the FMCG sector.
  • Support data governance and ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear, concise manner to business leaders.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst (ideally 3+ years).
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (data extraction, joins, complex queries).
  • Skilled in Python for data analysis (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib, etc.).
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Preferred:

  • Experience within the FMCG or retail industry — understanding of sales, marketing, and supply chain data.
  • Familiarity with statistical modelling or forecasting methods.
  • Exposure to cloud data environments (Azure, GCP, or AWS).
