Short description

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Transport Team Leader to lead and continuously develop the local transport team. This role involves managing domestic, intercompany, and export transport operations while optimizing costs and ensuring KPI achievement. The ideal candidate will work closely with carriers, customer service, and warehouse teams on a daily basis and play a key role in supplier negotiations. Tasks

  • Managing and developing the local transport team to ensure operational excellence
  • Organizing domestic, intercompany, and export transport while maintaining cost-efficiency and on-time performance
  • Handling transport orders via the TRANSPOREON system, tracking shipments, and maintaining records
  • Analyzing transport costs and service levels to identify and implement efficiency improvements
  • Leading negotiations with transport providers to optimize capacity and pricing
  • Collaborating with different supply chain stakeholders (customer service, warehouses, MSP department) to improve logistics processes
  • Monitoring and reporting key KPIs (on-time arrival, cost efficiency, delays, daily shipment volume, etc.)
  • Supporting warehouse operations by coordinating loading and unloading schedules
  • Reviewing and approving invoices based on agreed price lists
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to reduce transport costs and streamline processes
  • Sourcing new transport suppliers to ensure sufficient capacity and service quality
  • Ensuring compliance with legal regulations and internal company policies in all transport activities
  • Preparing regular reports for internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher vocational education
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in transport, FMCG background preferred
  • Knowledge of export/import logistics processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
  • Advanced Excel (pivot table) and ERP system proficiency, TRANSPOREON experience is an advantage
  • Continuous improvement mindset and proactive approach
