Position overview

Diligent is seeking a Data Scientist Intern to join our Data Science team. As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to data-driven product development by supporting research initiatives and helping the team provide actionable insights to inform product design decisions. You'll collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to ensure our products meet user needs and expectations through data analysis and machine learning techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing for various data science projects
• Support the team in conducting exploratory data analysis and creating visualizations
• Contribute to the development and implementation of machine learning models
• Help in the creation of data-driven artifacts such as dashboards and reports
• Participate in problem framing and ideation of data science methodologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business problems into data science solutions

Required Experience/Skills

• Pursuing a degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related field
• Knowledge in Python programming language
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
• Familiarity with data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy
• Knowledge of machine learning libraries like Scikit-learn or TensorFlow
• General knowledge of common AI tools
• Open mindset to learn to use AI tools in software development (code generation, debugging, documentation support)
• Critical thinking and problem-solving attitud
• Fluent English communication skills
• Self-driven mindset 
• Good teamwork and collaboration skills
