Our innovative platform allows people to communicate naturally, while we capture the information they need, so they can avoid data entry, streamline their operations, and spend more time on what matters most: their clients.
Location: Budapest, XI. (On-site Monday to Thursday, Remote on Fridays)
About the Role We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our small design team and own design across different areas of our AI platform and the broader ecosystem. We need someone who's great at solving gnarly problems, thinking critically, and finding the right ways to get everyone aligned when things get messy and uncertain. Our tech is complex and pretty novel, so you'll need to dig into technical details to operate effectively—no "just improve user experience" here. To give you a better sense of what you'll be working on, here are some recent projects we've been tackling:
  • Reimagining the live meeting experience to help advisors stay present and engaged while Zocks captures everything important and serves up valuable insights in real-time
  • Adapting our core experience to work seamlessly across all the platforms and tools financial advisors actually use, making sure our AI feels native no matter where users interact with it
  • Surfacing sentiment analysis from meetings so financial advisors can quickly understand client emotions and concerns without drowning in endless data
  • Simplifying complex data sync flows with external platforms so users can easily keep their information up-to-date without the usual headaches
What You'll Do:
  • Own end-to-end design for key product areas - You'll take ownership of design strategy and execution across major parts of our platform. From initial concept exploration to final implementation, you'll drive the design vision and make the tough calls on trade-offs.
  • Collaborate deeply with engineering and product - Our tech stack is complex, so you'll work closely with engineers to understand constraints and possibilities. You'll partner with our product team to shape roadmaps and ensure we're solving the right problems for financial advisors.
  • Bridge technical complexity and user simplicity - Our AI does incredibly sophisticated things behind the scenes. Your job is making that power feel effortless and intuitive for users who just want to focus on their clients.
  • Present and defend design decisions - You'll regularly present work to leadership, engineering teams, and stakeholders. You'll need to articulate design rationale clearly and advocate for user needs when priorities compete.
  • Research and validate design decisions - Get in front of financial advisors to understand their workflows, pain points, and how they actually use tools in high-pressure situations. You'll turn insights into actionable design solutions.
  • Shape design at Zocks - Define how we work, critique, and maintain quality standards as we grow the team. You'll evolve our lightweight design system and establish patterns that scale.
What You Need:
  • 5+ years of product design experience - You've shipped complex B2B or enterprise products and understand the full design process from research to launch.
  • Technical fluency - You can hold your own in technical discussions with engineers. You understand APIs, data flows, and system constraints well enough to design realistic solutions, not just beautiful impossibilities.
  • Strategic thinking - You've moved beyond just executing designs to shaping product strategy. You can connect user needs to business goals and make compelling cases for design decisions that impact roadmaps.
  • Navigating uncertainty - You thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments. You can prioritize effectively, ship iteratively, and choose design approaches that drive transparency and alignment throughout projects.
  • User research skills - You know how to talk to users, synthesize insights, and turn research into actionable design improvements.
  • Design systems thinking - You've built or evolved design systems before. You understand component libraries, design tokens, and how to create scalable design foundations.
  • Communication and presentation skills - You can present your work clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. You're comfortable defending design decisions and facilitating productive critiques.
Bonus points for:
  • Experience designing AI and/or fintech products
  • Prototyping skills beyond Figma - AI tools, HTML/CSS, or other creative approaches
  • Worked at a startup or high-growth environment with rapid release cycles
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years experience in product design
  • Strong creative, design and communication skills
  • Representable Portfolio of work
