We are seeking a
results-driven Corporate Sales Trader
to join our Carbon Trading Desk to service our
home market: Hungary
This is a front-office role where you will build and maintain strong client relationships and execute trades in the
EU ETS—the world's largest regulated carbon market.

This position is
based in Warsaw
, our Regional Trading Headquarters in the Warsaw Financial Center where you'll undergo your initial onboarding trainings and gain hands-on experience working alongside senior traders. As you develop expertise and progress in your career (2 years+), you'll have the flexibility to continue in Warsaw or return to our Budapest hub, bringing back valuable international experience. Note that being based in Warsaw is mandatory and there will be regular business travel required to Hungary. Flexibility for occasional remote working from Hungary is possible.

About the Role

As a
Corporate Sales Trader
, you will:

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior decision-makers at corporate and industrial clients in Hungary
• Understand client compliance needs and provide tailored trading solutions
• Execute trades in EUAs and related instruments in line with client objectives
• Monitor market developments and share timely insights to support client decision-making
• Offer guidance on risk management strategies, including hedging options
• Represent Vertis at industry events, webinars, conferences, and client meetings
• Become a subject matter expert in carbon markets and EU ETS.

Your work will directly impact some of the largest polluters in Hungary, helping them manage their emission requirements and comply with climate regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and grow Vertis's position as the leading player in emissions offsetting in Hungary
• Advise clients on market opportunities and compliance strategies
• Monitor market trends, regulations, risks, and opportunities
• Build strategic partnerships across the industry
• Convert leads into long-term clients and successful transactions
• Provide market intelligence to support trading and risk strategies
• Represent Vertis's brand across various channels and platforms

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of proven
  sales
  experience
  , ideally in sales trading, finance, commodities, or environmental markets
• Strong commercial mindset, entrepreneurial drive and focus on delivering results and value to clients
• Credibility and ability to converse and build relationships with senior level decision-makers
• Ability to analyze market data and translate it into practical financial advice
• Excellent communication skills in
  Hungarian (native)
  and
  English
• (professional)
• Valid
  driver's license
  – regular travel required
• Degree in
  Economics, Finance, Business Administration
  , or related field (required by regulation)
