At delaware Hungary, we are looking for a
Data Migration Consultant
to join our growing international team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our SAP implementation and transformation projects, where your primary mission will be to ensure the accurate, complete, and timely migration of master and transactional data.

Your role

As a Data Migration Consultant, you will be responsible for the entire data migration lifecycle. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Taking end-to-end ownership of the data migration scope for your assigned areas.
  • Aligning system-related data objects and clarifying business/functional requirements with client, functional, and technical consultants.
  • Preparing field-level extraction and mapping functional specifications (including fields and selection/mapping rules), and reviewing and validating mapping templates.
  • Building, testing, and executing data migrations, including executing data loads using SAP Migration Cockpit (staging tables).
  • Performing pre-load and post-load validation of migrated data objects within the system, managing dropouts, and advising on data cleansing requirements.
  • Proving the correctness and completeness of all migration tasks through rigorous data analysis and reconciliation.
  • Taking an active role in migration dress rehearsals, cutover tasks, and providing post-go-live support.
  • Contributing to cutover planning and the preparation of data migration runbooks.
  • Providing regular status reporting to project management, business, and functional teams.

  • Strong and demonstrable experience in the full lifecycle of SAP data migration.
  • Hands-on expertise with SAP Migration Cockpit.
  • Understanding of SAP data models (minimum: MM / SD / FI; additional modules preferred).
  • Proven ability to handle data migration scope independently with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to design & document field-level mapping and functional specifications.
  • Extensive experience in validating data accuracy pre- and post-migration.
  • Experience with cutover planning, dress rehearsals, and post-go-live support.
  • Strong SQL knowledge is a mandatory requirement.
  • Experience with ETL processes and tools is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with Azure data services is a plus.
