We're seeking a talented and curious
Lead Analytics and AI Analyst
for our fast-paced, data-driven organization. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of transforming raw data into strategic insights, leveraging traditional Business Intelligence (BI) alongside cutting-edge AI and analytical programming techniques.
You'll combine data storytelling, statistical analysis, and AI prompting to drive faster, smarter decisions across the organization.

What You'll Bring:
To thrive, you'll need core analytical expertise and a keen interest in modern data tools:

• SQL Mastery: First and foremost, you'll need a solid understanding of relational databases and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with our data, schemas, and environments to craft complex and performant SQL queries. These will power both ad-hoc requests and create the necessary datasets for visualizations using our BI tools.
• Tableau Expertise: Skilled in creating insightful dashboards and compelling stories in an enterprise environment. You'll also be adept at maintaining or troubleshooting existing Tableau resources, including their custom SQL or published extracts.
• Analytical Programming & AI Acumen: Proficiency in Python or R is essential for automation, data preparation, and advanced analytics. You should be comfortable leveraging foundational data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy in Python) and understand core AI and Machine Learning concepts. Experience with AI tools, including large language models (LLMs), for generating insights or automating workflows is a significant plus, indicating a readiness to tackle more advanced analytical challenges.
• Strong Mathematical and Statistical Foundation: A solid understanding of statistical principles and quantitative analysis techniques is essential for deriving robust, data-driven insights.
• Collaborative Development Savvy: Experience with collaborative development environments, such as Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Jupyter, Zeppelin, or RStudio, is beneficial.
• GitHub Proficiency: For version control, document all work items for posterity, enable code review, and ensure accountability.
• Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Including the knack for translating complex customer business needs and user stories into precise analytical requirements, and communicating complex findings effectively to technical and non-technical audiences.

As a Lead Analytics and AI Analyst you will....
You will harness your curiosity and critical thinking to elevate reporting, using advanced analytical techniques and AI to uncover profound insights that shape key business strategies.

• Design, publish, and maintain critical self-service business intelligence dashboards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop for internal customers.
• Write and maintain custom SQL to power Tableau dashboards and fulfill ad-hoc data requests.
• Maintain familiarity with key structured data sources within our enterprise data hub.
• Create and curate intermediate datasets in our data warehouse as needed to support recurring or ad-hoc data requests, often leveraging Python for data manipulation.
• Collaborate with users to continually refine their usage and understanding of reporting outputs, evolving their overarching user stories and analytical needs.
• Apply creativity in your work presentation: Utilize Tableau (and other tools, including AI-driven visualizations) in innovative ways to make even the most dense data more consumable and impactful.
• Document and communicate clearly: About your work outputs, methodologies, and findings (both verbally and in writing).
• Exhibit keen attention to detail and a willingness to peer-review one another's outputs for accuracy.

We are excited if you have...

• 5+ years of relevant experience or education in a Data Analyst, Reporting, or Business Intelligence role.
• A demonstrated curiosity for data science and AI concepts and a strong willingness to learn and apply new analytical techniques. Proven experience with Python or R, or foundational data science projects, is a significant plus.
• A strong academic background in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred, as it underpins strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• 'Tableau Desktop Certified Professional' or 'Tableau Desktop Certified Associate' certifications are a plus.
