Project Manager Student – Operations

Purpose of the Position

The purpose of this student role is to support the improvement of operational efficiency across multiple Wizz Air airlines by assisting in the coordination and delivery of operational projects. You will gain hands-on experience in project management while contributing to the promotion of a structured project management culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of cross-functional projects aimed at driving transformation and innovation within Wizz Air's Operations functions
  • Assist in monitoring the implementation of projects across all Wizz Air airlines (Group Level), ensuring consistency in project reporting and methodologies
  • Help establish and coordinate project teams according to project needs
  • Support clear internal and external communication with project stakeholders
  • Assist in coordinating the execution of approved projects between airlines AOCs and the Central organization
  • Contribute to the preparation of business cases, project roadmaps, and regular progress updates for the leadership team
  • Support the organization and documentation of quarterly Project Committee meetings
  • Assist in project closure reporting by comparing planned goals (budget, timeline, KPIs, savings) with actual results to support continuous improvement
  • Occasionally participate in supplier events and research new solutions, products, and business opportunities to enhance efficiency

Skills and Competencies

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program (preferably in Business, Management, Aviation, Engineering or related field)
  • Interest in project management and operational processes
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good problem-solving and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Basic understanding of project management principles is an advantage
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • Based in Budapest or available to work from Budapest
