Our client is a growing European service platform supporting the transport and logistics sector. The company provides a wide range of innovative solutions designed to simplify operations and improve efficiency for its partners and customers across Europe.

About the Role

As a Senior Java Microservices Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining microservices-based applications in a cloud environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in API development, container orchestration, performances and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop microservices applications using Java
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create solutions
  • Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with other services
  • Document development processes, architectures, and tools
  • Write unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain best practices in coding

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Certifications: Java, GCP or other relevant industry certification

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer with a focus on microservices
  • Comfortable with microservices architectures and design patterns
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Quarkus
  • Expertise in API development and best practices
  • Knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, Pub/Sub
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with cloud platform such as Google Cloud, AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Remote work options

Budapest office is based in the VI. district. Remote work is an option.

The job includes limited amount of travelling in Europe.
