The opportunity
Are you ready to play a pivotal role in driving the success of our customer-facing processes? We are looking for a dynamic Associate Director, Project & Program Management to join our team. In this critical position, you will report directly to the Site General Manager and support the execution of new key CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) and NPI (New Product Introduction) projects.
We are seeking someone with a strong technical-scientific background in the pharmaceutical industry and proven experience in coordinating cross-functional teams. A results-driven mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes is essential.

How you'll spend your day
- Actively participating in defining the manufacturing strategy for API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) projects.
- Preparing project plans and defining key project milestones from the initial concept, scale-up phases, process optimization, all the way to submission of documentation to regulatory agencies.
- Determining priorities and other operational activities.
- Monitoring progress of activities, tracking and recording key data, forecasting and quantifying risks, and planning corrective actions on assigned projects.
- Prepare and share regular progress reports, flagging potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Identify and address risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring contingency plans are in place.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for all stakeholders during project execution phases, ensuring alignment on timelines, deliverables, and expectations.
- Maintaining the Project Management database and recording project progress.
- Leading meetings with heads of organizational units at sites or their representatives, and aligning information across multiple organizational disciplines/functions.
- Facilitate collaboration among technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to address customer needs and provide optimal solutions.
- Close collaboration and communication with certain organizations outside the site regarding project activities.
- Driving change management initiatives to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, systems, and organizational practices.
- Managing resources and costs, including capacity planning, budget tracking, and monitoring procurement activities to ensure efficient allocation and financial control.
- Conducting comprehensive risk management, assessing timeline and resource, EHS and GMP risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Minimum 5 years of proven program management experience, including NPI expertise. Prior CDMO project management experience is a strong plus.
- Solid background in the pharmaceutical industry, with deep understanding of regulatory and operational requirements.
- Academic degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, lead and execute on a variety of assignments and action plans; driving for results and managing complex projects.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization.
- Strong strategic agility and business acumen, enabling sound decision‑making and forward‑looking planning.
- Expertise in managing processes, excellent organizational and project management skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, and the capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
