What Success Looks Like In This Role
Unisys is seeking a highly skilled Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in system programming and security product development. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C/C++ programming, operating systems (Unix/Linux/Windows), and advanced security technologies. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a product-driven environment, contributing to the design, development, and lifecycle of cutting-edge network and endpoint security solutions.

  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex systems and security products.
  • Contribute to the full lifecycle of network/endpoint security product development.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows system-level programming and OOAD principles.
  • Develop and enhance features in C/C++ and related technologies.
  • Work on advanced firewall, VPN, networking, and internet security solutions.
  • Implement and optimize kernel-level programming for performance and security.
  • Apply expertise in security protocols, certificates, and algorithms.
  • Use software estimation techniques and design patterns effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree highly preferred.
  • 4–6 years of experience in a product development environment.
  • Minimum 2+ years of systems programming experience.
  • Strong programming expertise in C/C++.
  • Advanced knowledge of system-level programming and Unix/Linux/Windows internals.
  • Expertise in firewall, VPN, networking, and internet security.
  • Proven experience with endpoint and/or network security solutions.
  • Deep understanding of security protocols, certificates, and algorithms.
  • Strong problem-solving, design, and implementation skills.
  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies quickly.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
