Software Developer in Support

About the Role

As a Software Developer in Support (S. E. D. operations team) at Flexion Mobile you will be part of our highly efficient and collaborative Support Agile team where you will be facilitating, coordinating, and optimizing technical troubleshooting while keeping other support coordinators, and external parties up to date and maintaining, building a state of the art knowledge base and effective procedures. You will be responsible for responding and resolving the technical support requests and service tickets. It is a part of the job to identify, diagnose and rectify any issues in Flexion's services, and applications. You will also be responsible for developing internal tools used for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and game fixing.

Main Responsibilities

• Investigate the problems and recommend effective remedies for the prevention of problems
• Offer reactive and proactive support
• Assist with troubleshooting technical issues
• Cooperate with other cross-functional teams to ensure support items are delivered at the best quality in the shortest time
• Maintain and develop an internal knowledgebase
• Interact with external developers/stakeholders if needed
• Lead improvements with our troubleshooting tools and processes
• Contribute effectively in decision-making meetings with other managers and team leads by defining and shaping support methodology, ensuring alignment between support, product, development and other cross-functional teams, building trust in high pressure/fire-drill situations
• Proactively and independently apply critical thinking to boost overall efficiency, recommend appropriate and relevant tactical improvements, anticipating future business needs to improve the overall support experience and share this knowledge across the team

Essential Skills and Requirements

• JAVA proficiency is a must.
• Proven experience as both a Support Technician and a Software Developer.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and a systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Practical experience working within an Agile environment.
• Strong SQL knowledge, with a preference for MySQL.
• A solid understanding of mobile applications and online services.
• Several years of professional work experience in related fields.

Desirable but not Essential Skills and Experiences

• Android app development
• Working with automated android testing frameworks
• Some experience in software development
