Environmental Engineer for Industrial Area

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our team in an industrial area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and developing strategies to reduce the organization's negative impact on the environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with IPPC and other environmental permits, including water, waste, air, and noise permits.
  • Manage environmental notifications, reports, fees, and declarations in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient ISO 14001 system, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with legal obligations and requirements related to Greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) permits.
  • Design and implement effective waste management systems.
  • Develop and implement technical solutions to reduce the organization's negative impact on the environment.
  • Initiate and implement Environmental Protection-related trainings and programs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Environmental Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in Environmental Permitting processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and creatively problem-solve.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to collaborate across departments, multi-task, and prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Hungarian.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the automotive sector.
  • Experience with construction site environmental and waste management.
