Job Description

Danfoss is in search of an experienced Supplier Development Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, growing company and thrive in a culture of continuous improvement. Job Responsibilities

Main responsibilities for this role include:

  • Lead supplier development projects to enhance key suppliers' quality performance levels.
  • Train suppliers to identify root causes at a system level and implement sustainable corrective actions to prevent recurring quality issues.
  • Ensure availability of accurate supplier quality and performance data at all times for suppliers within the designated category.
  • Communicate, implement, and ensure proper adherence to the Supplier Quality Manual, Danfoss global standards, tools, and templates for each supplier or project within the specified category.
  • Evaluate suppliers' systems, implementing necessary changes to meet Danfoss requirements and expectations.
  • Manage Supplier Development and Reporting, Change Control, Supplier APQP/PPAP, and Claims handling.
  • Assess failures against part specifications and Danfoss requirements.
  • Verify and validate the implementation of containment, root cause analysis, deviations, corrective and preventive actions through 8D reports.
  • Facilitate meetings and supplier visits as required to address and resolve issues.
  • Implement CSL 1 and/or CSL 2 at suppliers when necessary.
  • Ensure suppliers identify and adopt long-term corrective actions for occurrences, non-detections, and systemic issues.
  • Keep PPAP documentation updated (including PFMEAs, Control Plans, etc.).
  • Conduct Audits and manage Supplier approvals.
  • Provide Training & Development support to suppliers.
Background & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in parts development and quality assurance of Electrical/Electronic products.
  • Knowledge of Standards such as IPC, J-STD, and ATEX.
  • Experience with DFM/DFT, Production machines, Environmental effects, Electrical Static Discharge, and Schematic electrical blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of programming micros and software, Cable harness awareness, and Cultural & Cross-Functional Awareness.
  • Proficiency in Product and Process Knowledge, Decision Making, Continuous Improvement, and Facilitating Teamwork & Training.
