Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Lead to oversee the integration and management of production equipment within our partner's supply chain operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that production lines are established efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Management: Oversee the setup of production equipment at the contract manufacturer’s site, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Production Line Commissioning: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure timely commencement of production operations.
  • Performance Monitoring: Work closely with contract manufacturers to evaluate production line performance, focusing on yield, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and quality benchmarks.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Establish and implement preventive maintenance protocols to maximize production line efficiency.
  • Engineering Culture Development: Foster a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership within the manufacturing engineering department, promoting high standards aligned with departmental goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address technical risks in projects, collaborating with design teams to develop effective solutions.
  • Feedback for Product Development: Offer insights to the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to enhance future product iterations.
  • Process Validation: Lead the establishment of process validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) in partnership with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Experimental Design: Conduct experiments to determine process margins using Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Quality Monitoring: Implement process monitoring systems in line with quality standards, utilizing tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication and updates with stakeholders regarding project status.
  • Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis to address product failures and optimize processes through innovative engineering solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communications, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in budget management for expenses and capital projects.
  • Familiarity with process validation, including User Requirement Specifications (URS), Design Specifications (DS), and Functional Specifications (FS), along with IQ/OQ/PQ processes.
  • Extensive experience in process characterization utilizing DOE techniques.
  • Experience in an outsourced manufacturing environment, with an understanding of associated challenges.
  • Proficiency in process control design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
  • Understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) phases and milestones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability to change and a proactive problem-solving approach.
