About the Role

NIX Tech Kft., a global supplier of software engineering and IT outsourcing services, is seeking a highly skilled Scala Data Specialist to join its team in Budapest. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing scalable data processing solutions using Scala and Java.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain robust data processing applications using Scala and Java.
  • Design and implement AWS services to build and maintain a scalable data warehouse infrastructure.
  • Handle data storage solutions using MongoDB and Snowflake for efficient data management.
  • Utilize Apache Spark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that enhance data capabilities.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure high-quality data pipelines.
  • Develop and deliver reports tailored to the needs of different user groups within the platform.
Requirements
  • Strong expertise in Scala and Java development.
  • Experience with AWS, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Apache Spark.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactiveness in seeking and implementing better approaches and solutions to optimize data processing, storage, and analysis.
