Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineering Leader to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the successful installation and commissioning of production equipment, ensuring that operational targets are met efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation Management: Oversee the setup of production equipment at the contract manufacturer site, ensuring adherence to project timelines.
  • Production Line Commissioning: Collaborate with contract manufacturers to ensure timely start of production (SOP).
  • Performance Monitoring: Analyze production line performance metrics such as yield, overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and quality targets.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Establish and implement preventive maintenance procedures to maximize production line utilization.
  • Engineering Culture Development: Foster a culture of excellence in engineering practices and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and leadership within the manufacturing engineering department, promoting high standards aligned with departmental goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address technical risks in projects, leading design teams in problem resolution.
  • Feedback Provision: Collaborate with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team to enhance future product iterations.
  • Process Validation: Lead the establishment of process validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) in partnership with suppliers and contract manufacturers.
  • Experimental Design: Conduct experiments to define process margins utilizing Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.
  • Quality Monitoring: Implement process monitoring aligned with quality expectations, utilizing statistical process control (SPC) tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication and provide status updates to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Problem Solving: Conduct root cause analysis for product failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Process Optimization: Drive process improvements through innovative engineering solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communications, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience in managing expenses and capital budgets.
  • Proficient in process validation, including URS, DS, FS, and IQ/OQ/PQ.
  • Extensive experience in process characterization using DOE.
  • Experience in an outsourced environment, with an understanding of associated challenges.
  • Knowledge of process control design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with statistical tools such as Minitab or JMP.
  • Understanding of NPI phases and milestones.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability and a proactive problem-solving approach.
