Software Asset Management Process Owner

We are seeking an experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) Process Owner to join our team at Abesse Zrt.
About the role:
The SAM Process Owner will oversee the entire lifecycle of software assets in our organization, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements, optimizing software use, managing licenses for maximum value, and mitigating risks. This role requires a deep understanding of software asset management processes and their alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Process Ownership: Develop and maintain SAM processes and policies, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with licensing and regulations through regular reviews and audits, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets, utilizing tools to improve accuracy and access, and ensuring seamless integration with existing IT systems.
- Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and collaborate with procurement to implement efficient license management strategies, minimizing waste and maximizing ROI.
- Audit Preparation: Prepare for audits by gathering necessary documentation and addressing findings, ensuring seamless navigation through audit processes.
- Reporting: Present software asset reports to senior management for strategic decision-making, highlighting key metrics and trends.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance SAM processes and tools, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Training and Awareness: Provide training on SAM policies and best practices, promoting a culture of compliance and awareness within the organization.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Operations/Service Management area.
- Fluent English language skills, preferably C1 level.
- Functional knowledge and experience with: IT Asset Management, Software Asset Management, License Management, Software Lifecycle Management, Application Portfolio Management, CMDB.
- Technical knowledge: Service Management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, CMDB).
