About the Role

Ceva-Phylaxia Zrt. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Unit Leader in the Fermentation Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a fermentation-based aseptic vaccine production unit in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with quality, maintenance, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS), and supply processes.
  • Manage a team of 3-5 people and provide guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Contribute to the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual production plans.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
  • Participate in process development and industrialization to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Prepare for and participate in authority inspections and customer audits.
Requirements
  • Relevant university degree (MSc, BSc) in a field such as biology, bioengineering, microbiology, food engineering, chemical engineering, pharmacy, or a related science.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field, preferably in aseptic manufacturing, pharmaceutical, GMP, vaccine, or biosimilar manufacturing.
  • 3 years of management experience, including managing frontline managers.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to make decisions independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GMP knowledge and experience.
  • Lean (continuous improvement) approach.
  • EHS approach (Environment, Health, and Safety).
