We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused
Level 2 Field Engineer
to provide onsite technical support, troubleshoot user issues, and assist in maintaining a stable and efficient IT environment for our client. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide
    onsite and deskside support
    to end users.
  • Deliver timely resolution of
    incidents and service requests
    within SLA.
  • Build, configure, and troubleshoot PCs and laptops, including installing "Gold" images and applications.
  • Update and maintain ticket information
    daily
    in the call logging system.
  • Support meeting rooms, audio/video conferencing systems, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Provide support for mobile devices (iOS and Android).
  • Perform end-user
    data backup and restoration
    as needed.
  • Offer
    smart hands support
    for data center equipment following customer instructions.
  • Replace defective components and assist with
    rack-and-stack tasks
    , cabling, and module replacements.
  • Perform daily tape changes, import/export tapes to libraries, and follow backup routines.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and maintain effective communication with customers and partners.
  • Work independently, demonstrating proactive and organized work habits.
  • Maintain professional conduct, ethical practices, and high-quality service standards.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience as a
    Level 2 Engineer / Field Engineer / Deskside Support Engineer
    .
  • Strong customer-facing skills and professional presentation.
  • Hands-on experience with PC/laptop hardware build, configuration, replacement, and troubleshooting.
  • Good knowledge of
    Windows 7/10
    , Microsoft Office applications, and MAC support (preferred).
  • Experience with
    mobile device support
    (Android, iPhone, iPad).
  • Familiarity with
    Microsoft SCCM
    .
  • Strong communication skills in
    English
    and
    Hungarian
    .
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with call logging/ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of current and legacy hardware platforms.
  • Experience in data center environments, including:
  • Replacing parts/modules
  • Rack and stack
  • Cabling and physical installation
  • Strong teamwork skills (local, global, or virtual teams).
  • Relevant certifications are a plus:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+
  • Microsoft certifications
    (MCP, MCITP, MCSE)
