We, as Hays IT Contracting are currently looking for a detail-driven and proactive
IT Project Coordinator
to support our client's IT Operations team. This role is essential for managing the financial aspects of IT projects, with a strong focus on the capitalization of intangible assets. The position ensures accurate financial tracking, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with internal governance processes.

Please note:
This is a subcontractor opportunity, with the potential to transition into a permanent employee position within the company starting early next year.

Key Responsibilities:

Capitalization & Financial Oversight

  • Ensure accurate classification and documentation of intangible IT assets for capitalization.
  • Collaborate with Fixed Assets and Accounting teams during monthly closings and asset tracking.
  • Maintain up-to-date CIP trackers and project documentation to support audit readiness.

Governance & Compliance

  • Review project types, investment classifications, and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Attach required intangible asset surveys and supporting materials to relevant projects.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business teams to ensure effective financial governance and control.

Your Profile:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT financial controlling or project accounting, ideally in a corporate IT environment.
  • Solid understanding of IT capitalization practices and IFRS standards.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (Oracle experience is a plus).
  • Ability to start working on a project immediately.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business.
  • Fluent in English and Hungarian.
