InterContinental Budapest is looking for
a
Convention Sales Executive / Manager
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • To manage sales activities and events in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget and sales strategy for the hotel
  • Take full ownership of the event from initial client inquiry through on-site execution
  • Utilize every opportunity to upsell the hotel facilities
  • Develop and increase banqueting revenues by effective suggestive selling
  • Convert a maximum of requests into "real confirmed business"
  • Welcome organizers in house and conduct site inspections to evaluate space and event final needs
  • Coordinate allocation of space for the conference and associated events
  • Handover operations to Banquet Team on site and conduct all final billing procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University/College degree in economics preferably in tourism and hospitality
  • 2-3 years professional experience in sales preferably in hotels
  • Ability to work in team and independently
  • Excellent communication in English and Hungarian and guest/client handling capabilities
  • Positive attitude
  • Goal oriented personality
