Sziget Festival is looking for a Social Media Coordinator. You'll be managing our social media platforms, creating and running creative campaigns as part of the marketing team. You'll help shape Sziget's visual language, tone of voice, and strategy based on our brand values. You'll work closely with graphic designers, the video team, and the rest of the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Content & Copywriting: Craft high-level copy for Gen Z and other generations in both English and Hungarian, and create visual content with the graphic and video teams.
  • Visual Sense: Keep our brand visuals on point across all platforms, spot issues with animations and videos, and communicate both problems and strengths clearly.
  • Cultural & Global Trend Research: Keep your finger on the pulse of international and local culture - Sziget is all about setting and shaping trends.
  • Engagement & Reactions: Create inspiring and creative content that sparks reactions, engages our diverse festival audience, and builds a strong community.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with PR, digital marketing, partnerships, and other teams throughout campaigns.

Requirements

  • Creative Background: At least 3 years of experience creating content and copywriting, with strong visual and social awareness.
  • Strategic Thinking: Play an active role in planning and shaping campaigns, collaborate with partners, and use storytelling effectively.
  • Languages: Excellent English and Hungarian skills, both creatively and strategically.
  • Passion for Music & Festivals: You'll be living and breathing festival life – attendance is a must Your favorite festival is Sziget, right? Knowledge of artists and a true passion for music are expected.
  • Platform Knowledge: Full management of social media platforms and content creation. You should know the features, possibilities, and limits of each platform (Meta platforms, TikTok, YouTube, and others).
  • Office Work: This isn't a remote role, but home office will be possible during certain times in the offseason. Summer means office presence and teamwork. Our office is on Hajógyári Island, so you'll get to work surrounded by nature every day.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of trending international and Hungarian artists.
  • Canva or Adobe skills
  • Strong understanding of diverse audiences, including LGBTQ+ communities, youth culture, and contemporary subcultures.
  • Familiarity with meme culture and the ability to create platform-specific memes.
  • Quick decision-making: able to quickly evaluate and choose which posts to publish during the festival.
  • Extroverted personality and ease in connecting with people.
