What's the opportunity?

We're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our Operations team and own the day-to-day finance operations that keep Recart running smoothly.

You'll play a key role in our monthly close, management reporting, and cash operations, ensuring the company's financials are clean, accurate, and actionable. You'll work closely with our Head of Operations and Senior Finance Manager, and collaborate with teams across the business to help us make smarter financial decisions.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves structure, precision, and turning numbers into insight. You'll touch everything from accounting and reporting to budget tracking and audit prep, helping Recart stay financially sharp as we scale.

What will you do?

You'll support our Senior Finance Manager with the day-to-day finance operations and ensure our financial processes run smoothly and accurately. Your work will cover a wide range of activities as outlined below:

Daily accounting & reconciliations

• Book daily transactions in QuickBooks, maintaining clean ledgers and audit-ready documentation.
• Reconcile bank and expense accounts and resolve any differences promptly.
• Support accurate recording of invoices, payroll allocations, and accruals.

Month-end close & reporting

• Manage month-end tasks: accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet tie-outs.
• Deliver a zero-adjustment monthly close that is accurate, consistent, and on time.
• Prepare management reports on burn, budget vs. actuals, and key variances.
• Build ad hoc analyses for leadership and support planning cycles.

Revenue & margin support

• Prepare revenue recognition schedules and ensure proper timing per our SOPs.
• Support monthly margin and CoGS checks for our SMS and software revenue streams.

Cash operations & working capital

• Manage payment runs and banking operations (Brex, OTP).
• Ensure vendor invoices are approved, coded, and paid on schedule.
• Issue and track intercompany invoices and help manage collections.

Audit, compliance & special projects

• Prepare audit-ready PBCs and respond to auditor or tax consultant requests.
• Maintain clean financial records aligned with US GAAP and Hungarian standards.
• Partner with Ops leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc projects.

Who are we looking for?

You're someone who enjoys clarity and precision but you're not afraid to ask questions or improve the process when something doesn't add up. You bring curiosity, ownership, and a desire to see how financials connect to business strategy.

We'd love to meet you if you:

• Have 2–4 years of experience in accounting, audit, or FP&A (SaaS or tech preferred).
• Have strong fundamentals in accounting and can put together a balance sheet and income statement.
• Understand accrual accounting, prepaids, and revenue recognition basics.
• Are eager to learn and open to feedback. You might not know everything yet, but you're teachable and curious.
• Are comfortable using QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and BI/reporting tools.
• Can synthesize numbers into insights, not just reports.
• Are detail-oriented and organized, yet curious about the "why" behind the numbers.
• Communicate confidently in English and Hungarian.

Bonus if you:

• Have experience working with US-based companies or multi-entity setups.
• Are familiar with US GAAP or IFRS.
• Have supported audits, budgeting, or investor reporting before.
