Our international partner now seeking an
RTR Accountant
to join their Budapest-based Finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end Record-to-Report activities, including monthly closing, statutory reporting under local GAAP, tax compliance, and coordination with multiple regional functions. You will support several Central European entities and contribute to regional accounting processes across EMEA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) processes for EMEA entities
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal reporting
  • Prepare and review US GAAP financials and support group reporting requirements
  • Manage annual statutory reporting under local GAAP
  • Oversee statutory and tax filings, including annual returns, corporate tax, and other mandatory submissions
  • Coordinate statutory audits, acting as the primary contact for external auditors and providers
  • Support tax audits and regulatory requests for designated entities
  • Analyse financial results, identify discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within RTR and Controllership
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and cross-functional finance initiatives

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of accounting experience in a multinational company or Big4
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong background in RTR processes, month-end close, and reconciliations
  • Experience with SAP, BlackLine, Power BI, OneSource, or similar tools
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured, risk-based approach
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-changing environment
  • Collaborative team player with flexibility during peak periods
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and professional judgement
