memoQ is a proprietary computer-assisted translation management software suite developed by memoQ Translation Technologies, a company established in 2004 and recognized as one of the fastest-growing in the translation technology sector.

Our suite of products helps thousands of skilled translators and hundreds of language service providers and enterprises worldwide improve their impact and performance. Based in Hungary, the company operates with approximately 140 employees across ten countries, with main offices in Budapest and Gyula.

We are looking for a

Support Engineer

to join our team in Gyula

A key element of memoQ's success is the exceptional support we provide to our clients.

As a member of the team, you will work in the company's Gyula office, where your primary responsibility will be to provide technical assistance to our clients and colleagues regarding our products. Identifying, reproducing, documenting, and reporting technical issues is also an integral part of your role.

The team operates in shifts, 24 hours a day, five days a week, with reduced hours on weekends.

Your main tasks will be
  • Handling and resolving our customers' technical requests
  • Providing prompt and efficient solutions to issues through the ticketing platform
  • Communicating and forwarding validated problems to the development team
  • Collaborating with testers to promptly fix errors
  • Working with testers to proactively resolve errors
  • Reporting recurring issues to the Chief Customer Support Officer
The ideal candidate for this role
  • Has a university degree in IT or a strong IT-relevant background with several years of experience
  • Is a fast learner
  • Can work effectively both in a team and independently
  • Speaks and writes English well. A high level of German is an advantage
  • Is empathetic with strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid certificate of good conduct
